About Pench National Park
Pench is about 757 square kilometres of area and is located in the two Madhya Pradesh districts which are Seoni and Chhindwara. The Pench Tiger Reserve Park has about ten different safari zones which are regulated and carefully handled. The zones include areas called Pench, Turia, Chiraidongri, Kanha, Halon, Totladoh, Bharat, Machagora and Sitapuri. Each of those zones has different locations, different terrains, and different types of wildlife so it is a unique experience.
The Pench National Park has about 5 main gate areas, those areas are called, Chiraidongri Gate, Totladoh Gate, Turia Gate, Karmajhiri Gate and Pench Gate. Each of those gates are connected to a single safari zone so it helps with the flow of venturing into the Pench Tiger Reserve and it also gives a better flow of the safari vehicles. Every day, there are two safaris in great nature. One is in the morning around 6:30 am, the other is in the afternoon around 2:30 pm. Each of these safaris are 3-4 hours long and are led by a guide who will keep you safe as well as give you lots of information on the animals and the ecosystem. Pench is located near top cities like Nagpur, which is 90 km away, and Seoni, which is 30 km away. Because Pench is accessible from both of these cities, it is easy for domestic and international tourists to travel via trains and planes to Nagpur.

History of Pench
Pench National Park, in central India, was once soaked in history from the 16th century. The park is mentioned in a historical book entitled Ain-i-Akbari by Abu'l-Fazl ibn Mubarak. That's not all! The setting of Rudyard Kipling's classic story "The Jungle Book" is none other than Pench! The story of a young boy raised by wolves, Mowgli, is based on an incident in the park area.
In 1831, a wolf child growing up with the wolves was found in the nearby village. This marvellous account must have served to fire Kipling's imagination and pen his famous book. And the icing on the cake? You can see all your favourite characters from "The Jungle Book" in Pench National Park!
The park is spread over 758 square km between two districts of Madhya Pradesh and parts of Maharashtra. It was earlier a sanctuary and got the status of a national park owing to its flourishing population of tigers. It is known as the Pench Tiger Reserve and comes under the Project Tiger scheme.
The Pench River divides the park into two equal parts, with 293 square km as a core tiger reserve area and 118 square km as a wildlife sanctuary. This haven provides a natural habitat for many wild animals, including endangered species like tigers, leopards, and bears. Online Safari Booking at Pench National Park
The safari is available in summer and winter. However, the park's core area remains closed during the monsoon season due to heavy rains. There are several zones within the Pench National Park. Whereas six are in Madhya Pradesh, the remaining are in Maharashtra.

Famous tigers of Pench National park
BMW Male
BMW Male is one big Hulk of Pench National Park. It is named BMW due to a distinct marking of the letters B, M, and W on its left thigh. The first photograph was taken in 2006. The male is approximately 11 years old. As for BMW's pedigree, nothing can be determined. Yet, he has mated with many Pench tigresses.
Raiyakassa Male
Raiyakassa male or Sula male is very much in his prime. He is called Sula because of the wine glass marking he adorns. He has his territory in the Raiyakassa area. This 10-year-old hunk is very charming and is a favourite boy of Pench.
Baghinala Female
Sister to the widely known Collorwali tigress, this one is reclusive and introverted. She was raised to the limelight by her effervescent sister, but in time, she did find herself, developed her territory, and mothered several litters. Today, she has four fit cubs and stays happily in the Mowgli Land.
Collarwali female
She is the Princess of Pench, India's most famous collared tigress. Along with two brothers and a sister, she spent her childhood life in front of the TV cameras capturing the wildlife 'Big Brother' program, as the four cubs of the 'Spy in the Jungle' series that was to turn out to be such a huge success all over the globe in 2008. This beauty queen commands supremacy over the surrounding region near Pench River. The most celebrated tigress of Pench, she is only ten years old. She is also known for caring for the largest number of cubs, 22 in one lifetime.
